Chipboard Calendar to Share

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here to share a calendar with you that I made with some chipboard, paper, an embossing folder and ink and some of my favorite ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I made one of these a long time ago and have it sitting on my desk and thought that it would be fun to mix the purples and greens from our theme this month to create another one.

To make one for your self you will need some heavier chipboard to cover, embossing folder, calendar, ribbons and flowers, chain and a charm or two to decorate it.  The inks are from Deco Art's new Media line from Andy Skinner.  I am having a lot of fun with this line and you should check it out.  There is so much that you can do with it.

Directions:

1. To start you will cut the chipboard to 4 1/2 x 7 inches.  Then cut 4 pieces of paper for the inside
and outside the same size.  Run the outside front in the embossing folder and using different inks and glazes to get a fun finish.
2. Then use a good adhesive to adhere it to the chipboard.  Let it dry and then punch 2 holes on both pieces at the top with a crop-a-dile.
3. Cut 2 pieces of the Seam Binding ribbon in purples and thread through the holes that you made to tie them together and then tie a cute bow.  Spritz with water and scrunch them if desired.
4. To make the chain simple use pliers and wire cutters to attach the 2 charms on both ends.  Attach it at the top with a jump ring where the ribbons are tied to hide it.  Add 2 flowers to the center of bow.
5. Find a cute download or buy a set of calendars and print in ivory cardstock.  Ink them with brown and just a bit of purple to match.  I used a cute Bee brad to attach mine but you can also use a tiny nail and punch small holes in the calendars.

Hope you like it and have fun creating your own when you get a crafty moment.  Have a wonderful day....

Teresa
