Thankful For You

Hello to all our ribbon-loving creative friends, and thanks for stopping by today.  I created this quick little card using some October Afternoon patterned papers from my stash that I adhered together with Scor-Tape.  I ran a length of Mimosa Yellow Seam Binding across my card, and also used it to tie a sweet little bow.  I added some wool felt flowers and leaves, two stick pins, a Green/White/Yellow Mulberry Leave, some Red Double Head Mini Stamens and Grey Double Head Mini Stamens.
I added a small journalling tag with a stamped sentiment, some machine stitching, a piece of flair (Fresh Eggs pin), a small button with Ivory Burlap String tied through its middle, and a Two-Tone Yellow Open Rose to the bottom right of my card.  I always enjoy the warmth and texture found in all of the products at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They add SO much personality to my cards, and they'll do the same for yours.   Give them a try, and treat yourself today.
Be sure to check out the fabulous After-Christmas Sale taking place now through the end of the year in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, and be sure to stop back by the RRR Blog often for lots of great inspiration, our monthly Blog Hops, and to learn about special sales and promotions.  There's always something FUN happening at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Meowy Christmas!

Hello, Friends!  Happy Christmas Eve Day!  I hope your presents are all wrapped, the cookies are all baked, the Christmas cards are all posted and you are sipping on an eggnog and nibbling on a cookie right about now.  If so, you are way ahead of me!  A while back on my blog, I shared an adorable "Santa Paws" Dog Themed Card Folio Tutorial using Kiwi Shimmer Satin and  Moss/Cream Plaid Ribbon

I had such fun creating this, that I thought I really should give equal time to all the cat lovers out there.  So I whipped up this "Meowy Christmas" kitty themed card folio for you today.  You can follow the same YouTube tutorial for making this project.

This card is adorned with one of my favorite holiday ribbons: Vintage Christmas Plaid.  To add a bit of Christmas sparkle and shine to the bow cluster, I tucked in some Gold Metallic String

Here's a peek at the inside of this festive feline folio.

There's a fun flap/pocket combo.

As well as a sweet accordion style folio insert.  You can learn how to create this insert HERE

I wish you all a festive, restful, peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve!  And I hope Santa Paws tucks some sweet new crafting goodies under the tree just for you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Magic Book Box & Tag Set

Hi friends! Well, Christmas is just about upon us and I'm feeling very merry these days! I'm so happy to be able to share with you a project that I enjoyed making so much and it is brimming to the top with Christmas cheer! Linsey here today--I invite you to come along and see all the magic and sweetness this holiday home décor book box holds!
The front cover of my book box is loaded with Red and Ivory Aster Daisy Stems, WOC White Magnolias and White Bead Berry Spray Clusters for sparkle and pizazz! The 5/8" Red Taffeta Ribbon adds decadence and charm to the piece. Some Natural Burlap String tied into a bow and to the buttons lends a bit vintage goodness to the box and ties in beautifully with these darling vintage-style papers to complete the look. I added gold foils around all the edges and a vintage metal keyhole and key, as well as a metal clothespin inscribed with the word "timeless", which I believe is one of the words that describes the true meaning of Christmas.
And now for a look inside. This is the inside of the front cover and it has pocket and tag for writing the title and year. More red taffeta and daisy asters were added because I love them so much!
Lots of tag and pockets for journaling fit inside the book box. Much more could be added as well since there is so much space!
Along the inside base of the box, Debra Natural Crochet Lace trim was added. I think it's a perfect touch of softness for this sweet theme. Arianna Natural Crochet Lace trim was added to a few of the tags as well.
I'm so happy with the results of my book box, I added it to a table amongst my holiday home décor this year! After the holidays, it will serve as a cherished keepsake for years to come!
I hope you've enjoyed my project today! I wish you and yours a very happy and merry holiday season! Whatever you do, be blessed!! Until next time, happy crafting--and happy new year, too!!

Merry Christmas from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi friends.  I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Today I'm sharing the holiday card that I've sent out to my family and friends.  Each year I make one design which I mass produce.  This works best for me.  Since I LOVE the holiday Plaid Ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon, that is what I've used this year.
I decided to go with traditional Christmas colors for my card and I LOVE cardinals, so this is what I came up with.
I ran a strip of Plaid Christmas Red/Green/Gold Ribbon across the middle of the card under the sentiment.  I also could not resist a layer of white mulberry paper under my layers.
In order to keep things flat for mailing, rather than a bow I simply took a piece of ribbon, tied a knot in the middle and then dove-tailed the ribbon ends.  This is a flat enough embellishment for mailing in a regular envelope with no additional postage.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other items used on my card, visit my Make Time to Craft blog.  Happy crafting!

Snowman Treat Box Decorated with Ribbon and Flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have recycled this darling snowman treat box that I received in a basket that held truffles.  I thought how cute it would look decorated with Really Reasonable Ribbon, flowers, and embellishments. I did take a before photo of it not decorated and then with it decorated so you could see a before and after photo. Hope you enjoy my post for today, and I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas as well!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies:
Mulberry Flowers Open Roses 20mm white (29 used on snowman)
Seam Binding Lipstick Red(snowman scarf)
30mm white leaves
embellishment
hunter gingham ribbon 3/8"
resin flower on the snowman's hat
flower shaped rhinestone embellishment

So for this sweet little snowman treat box, I started with covering the bottom of him with 29 open roses in all white. Love how it looks. Next I ruched up the seam binding in lipstick red and added it to the scarf around his neck to give it a neat look, and then added some white leaves, green gingham and a green flower rhinestone embellishment.

For the hat I chose to do the same using the seam binding, but this time I added a little flower resin embellishment to his hat. This project was super fun to do, as I enjoyed taking a break from everything else going on, and being able to just craft for a bit. Hope you enjoyed my post for today!

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs to all
Cheryl

Hello, Cherry here today!  Are you checking off all those to do lists?  Seven days till Christmas.  Say it ain't so!  Every year it goes faster.  I have a couple of fun cards to share with you made for RRR.  First up this cute "farmhouse" style Christmas card.  I kept it simple letting my embossed frame and star take center stage.  I used a process using bleach and vinegar to rust my metal star.

My second card

The second card I decorated the inside!

Well that is it for me,  I am gonna go check more things off my list!  Cherry

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a very vintagy inspired greeting card.
I love the warm rich colors of these patterned papers.

That sweet Santa image has a faux weathered look which makes it look more authentically vintage.
I created a double layer loopy bow topped with jingles bells and a silvery skate charm.
I've tucked some tiny pine cones and berry picks to these flowers.
Adding faux snow to the edges for a frosty look.
Spacers between the layers for added depth.
~Really Reasonable Ribbon~Moss Bold Diamond Print Satin, Ivory Burlap String
Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
